Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect VDD to the power supply within the specified range (4.5V to 36V).
    • Connect VLOGIC to the logic supply within the specified range (1.8V to 5.5V).
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Ensure the continuous output current does not exceed 1.2A per channel without a heatsink, and 2.5A with a heatsink.
    • Do not exceed the peak output current of 4.5A.
  3. Thermal Management:

    • Monitor the device temperature to avoid exceeding the thermal shutdown temperature of 150°C.
    • Use a heatsink if operating at high currents or in high ambient temperatures.
  4. Under-Voltage Lockout:

    • The device will shut down if VDD drops below 3.2V and restart when it rises above 3.6V.
  5. Logic Inputs:

    • Ensure logic inputs are within the specified levels (VIH > 0.7V and VIL < 0.3V).
  6. PWM Control:

    • Use a PWM frequency between 200kHz and 1000kHz for optimal performance.
  7. Protection Features:

    • The device includes short-circuit protection and automatic recovery.
    • Thermal shutdown is activated at 150°C with a hysteresis of 15°C.
  8. Operating and Storage Conditions:

    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
    • Store the device within the temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
  9. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
