Instructions for Use:
Input Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the input pin.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (1.4V to 5.5V).
Output Connection:
- Connect the output pin to the load or circuit requiring the regulated 3.3V.
- The maximum continuous output current is 500mA.
Ground Connection:
- Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of the system.
Capacitors:
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the input pin and ground to filter out noise and stabilize the input voltage.
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the output pin and ground to stabilize the output voltage and improve transient response.
Shutdown Pin:
- The shutdown pin can be used to turn off the regulator by pulling it low. When the shutdown pin is high, the regulator is active.
- The shutdown current is very low (0.1μA) when the shutdown pin is pulled low.
Thermal Considerations:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if the regulator is operating near its maximum output current, especially in high ambient temperatures.
- The device has built-in thermal shutdown protection to prevent damage from overheating.
Layout Considerations:
- Use short, wide traces for power and ground connections to minimize parasitic inductance and resistance.
- Place bypass capacitors as close as possible to the respective pins to minimize inductance and improve performance.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
- Handle with care to avoid static discharge and physical damage.
