Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to a stable power source within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Ensure that the input voltage is clean and free from excessive noise.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the output voltage (VOUT) to the load requiring a regulated 3.3V supply.
    • The maximum output current is 3.0A, but typical operation is around 1.5A.
  3. Grounding:

    • Ensure a common ground connection between the input and output circuits to maintain stability.
  4. Thermal Management:

    • The device can operate up to 85°C ambient temperature. For higher temperatures, ensure adequate heat dissipation.
    • Use a heatsink if operating at high currents or in high-temperature environments.
  5. Shutdown Function:

    • The shutdown pin (SD) can be used to turn off the regulator by pulling it low. The shutdown current is approximately 1μA.
    • To enable the regulator, pull the SD pin high or leave it floating.
  6. Capacitors:

    • Use input and output capacitors to stabilize the power supply and reduce ripple.
    • Recommended values are 10μF for the input and 10μF for the output, with X7R dielectric.
  7. PCB Layout:

    • Place the device close to the load to minimize trace inductance and improve transient response.
    • Use wide traces for power connections to reduce resistance and heating.
  8. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool environment within the storage temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
  9. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge and physical damage.
    • Follow standard ESD precautions when handling the device.
