Instructions for Use:
Mounting:
- Ensure the mounting surface is flat and clean.
- Use thermal paste or a thermal pad between the module and the heatsink to improve thermal conductivity.
- Torque the mounting screws to the recommended value specified by the manufacturer to avoid excessive pressure on the module.
Electrical Connections:
- Connect the collector (C), emitter (E), and gate (G) terminals according to the circuit diagram.
- Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion or oxidation.
- Use appropriate wire gauges to handle the rated current.
Thermal Management:
- The junction temperature should not exceed 150°C under any operating conditions.
- Ensure adequate cooling, such as forced air or liquid cooling, to maintain the module within its thermal limits.
- Monitor the temperature of the heatsink and adjust the cooling system if necessary.
Gate Drive:
- Apply a gate-emitter voltage (VGE) within the range of ±20V.
- Use a gate resistor to limit the gate current and protect the IGBT from overvoltage spikes.
- Ensure the gate drive circuit is capable of providing the required gate current (±10A).
Handling and Storage:
- Handle the module with care to avoid mechanical damage.
- Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and corrosive environments.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions when handling the module to prevent damage.
Testing:
- Before installing the module, perform a continuity test to ensure there are no short circuits or open circuits.
- Test the module in a controlled environment to verify its performance and functionality.
Safety Precautions:
- Always follow safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with high-voltage and high-current circuits.
- Ensure the power supply is disconnected before making any changes to the circuit.
