Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the mounting surface is flat and clean.
    • Use thermal paste or a thermal pad between the module and the heatsink to improve thermal conductivity.
    • Torque the mounting screws to the recommended value specified by the manufacturer to avoid excessive pressure on the module.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the collector (C), emitter (E), and gate (G) terminals according to the circuit diagram.
    • Ensure all connections are secure and free from corrosion or oxidation.
    • Use appropriate wire gauges to handle the rated current.
  3. Thermal Management:

    • The junction temperature should not exceed 150°C under any operating conditions.
    • Ensure adequate cooling, such as forced air or liquid cooling, to maintain the module within its thermal limits.
    • Monitor the temperature of the heatsink and adjust the cooling system if necessary.
  4. Gate Drive:

    • Apply a gate-emitter voltage (VGE) within the range of ±20V.
    • Use a gate resistor to limit the gate current and protect the IGBT from overvoltage spikes.
    • Ensure the gate drive circuit is capable of providing the required gate current (±10A).
  5. Handling and Storage:

    • Handle the module with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and corrosive environments.
    • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions when handling the module to prevent damage.
  6. Testing:

    • Before installing the module, perform a continuity test to ensure there are no short circuits or open circuits.
    • Test the module in a controlled environment to verify its performance and functionality.
  7. Safety Precautions:

    • Always follow safety guidelines and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) when working with high-voltage and high-current circuits.
    • Ensure the power supply is disconnected before making any changes to the circuit.
