Instructions for Use:
Input Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the power supply within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
- Ensure the input capacitor (CIN) is placed close to the input pin to minimize noise.
Output Connection:
- The output voltage (VOUT) is fixed at 3.3V.
- Connect the load to the output pin.
- Place an output capacitor (COUT) close to the output pin to stabilize the output voltage.
Shutdown Pin (SHDN):
- To enable the regulator, connect the SHDN pin to GND or leave it floating.
- To disable the regulator, pull the SHDN pin high (to VIN).
Thermal Considerations:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high current levels.
- The thermal resistance (θJA) is 42°C/W, so monitor the temperature to avoid overheating.
Capacitor Selection:
- Recommended CIN: 1μF ceramic capacitor.
- Recommended COUT: 10μF ceramic capacitor.
Layout Recommendations:
- Keep the PCB layout compact and use wide traces for power connections to reduce voltage drops.
- Place decoupling capacitors as close as possible to the respective pins.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a dry environment within the storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
- Handle with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
