Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the power supply within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Ensure the input capacitor (CIN) is placed close to the input pin to minimize noise.
  2. Output Connection:

    • The output voltage (VOUT) is fixed at 3.3V.
    • Connect the load to the output pin.
    • Place an output capacitor (COUT) close to the output pin to stabilize the output voltage.
  3. Shutdown Pin (SHDN):

    • To enable the regulator, connect the SHDN pin to GND or leave it floating.
    • To disable the regulator, pull the SHDN pin high (to VIN).
  4. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high current levels.
    • The thermal resistance (θJA) is 42°C/W, so monitor the temperature to avoid overheating.
  5. Capacitor Selection:

    • Recommended CIN: 1μF ceramic capacitor.
    • Recommended COUT: 10μF ceramic capacitor.
  6. Layout Recommendations:

    • Keep the PCB layout compact and use wide traces for power connections to reduce voltage drops.
    • Place decoupling capacitors as close as possible to the respective pins.
  7. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment within the storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
    • Handle with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
