Instructions for Use
Power Supply:
- Connect VDD (pin 3) to the supply voltage (2.8V to 5.25V).
- Connect GND (pin 1) to the ground.
Data Line Connection:
- Connect DQ (pin 2) to the data line of the 1-Wire network.
- Ensure that the data line is pulled up to VDD with a resistor (typically 4.7kΩ).
Initialization:
- The DS2401Z must be initialized by the master device using the 1-Wire reset sequence.
- The master sends a reset pulse on the data line, and the DS2401Z responds with a presence pulse.
Read Serial Number:
- After initialization, the master can read the unique 64-bit serial number by sending the appropriate 1-Wire command (0x33).
- The DS2401Z will then transmit its serial number over the data line.
Parasitic Powering:
- The DS2401Z can operate in parasitic power mode, where it derives power from the data line.
- In this mode, ensure that the data line has sufficient capacitance to maintain the required voltage during communication.
Handling Precautions:
- Handle the DS2401Z with care to avoid ESD damage.
- Use proper ESD protection measures when handling and soldering the device.
Storage and Operating Conditions:
- Store the device in a dry, cool place within the specified storage temperature range.
- Operate the device within the specified operating temperature range to ensure reliable performance.
