Instructions for Use:
Supply Voltage (VDD):
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the range of 2.7 V to 5.5 V.
- Connect the VDD pin to the power source and the GND pin to ground.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is typically 1.5 μA in shutdown mode, ensuring low power consumption when not in use.
Output Current (IOUT):
- The device can provide a continuous output current of up to 500 mA, with a typical value of 300 mA.
Dropout Voltage (VDROPOUT):
- The dropout voltage is the difference between the input and output voltages at which the regulator can no longer maintain regulation. It is typically 150 mV at 300 mA output current and 3.3 V input voltage.
Enable Input Voltage (VEN):
- The enable pin (EN) must be pulled high (above 1.2 V) to activate the regulator. Pull it low (below 0.8 V) to disable the regulator.
Shutdown Input Voltage (VSHDN):
- The shutdown pin (SHDN) can be used to turn off the regulator. Pull it low (below 0.8 V) to shut down the device.
Thermal Shutdown (TSD):
- The device will automatically shut down if the junction temperature exceeds 160°C to prevent damage. It will resume operation once the temperature drops below the threshold.
Operating Temperature (TOPR):
- The device is designed to operate within an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
Storage Temperature (TSTG):
- Store the device in an environment with a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C to ensure long-term reliability.
Additional Notes:
- Always use appropriate decoupling capacitors near the VDD and GND pins to ensure stable operation.
- Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
- Refer to the datasheet for detailed application circuits and layout guidelines.
