Instructions for Use:
Power Supply:
- Ensure the supply voltage (VCC) is within the specified range of 4.75V to 5.25V.
- Connect VCC to a stable power source.
Watchdog Timer:
- The watchdog timer period (tWDT) can be adjusted by changing the resistance of the external resistor (RWD).
- For typical operation with RWD = 20 kΩ, the timer period is approximately 1.6 seconds.
Manual Reset:
- A manual reset can be initiated by pulling the MR pin low.
- The reset delay (tMRD) is typically 400 ms.
Power-Good Output:
- The PG output indicates whether the supply voltage is within the specified range.
- The rising threshold (VPG) is typically 4.75V, and the falling threshold is typically 4.25V.
Reset Timeout:
- The reset timeout (tRTO) is the duration for which the reset signal is held active after a power-on or reset event.
- It is typically 400 ms.
Output Drive Capability:
- The device can sink up to 20 mA and source up to 20 mA on its output pins.
Quiescent Current:
- The quiescent current (IQ) is the current drawn by the device when all outputs are low.
- It is typically 20 μA.
Temperature Range:
- The operating temperature range (TOPR) is from -40°C to 85°C.
- The storage temperature range (TSTG) is from -65°C to 150°C.
Handling and Storage:
- Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
- Handle with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the device.
Application Notes:
- Refer to the datasheet for detailed application notes and circuit diagrams.
- Ensure proper decoupling capacitors are used to stabilize the power supply and reduce noise.
