Instructions for Use:
Input Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (V_IN) to the VIN pin.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (7V to 24V).
Output Connection:
- Connect the output load to the VOUT pin.
- The output voltage is fixed at 5V and can supply up to 100mA.
Ground Connection:
- Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of the circuit.
Capacitors:
- Place a 10μF electrolytic capacitor between VIN and GND close to the regulator.
- Place a 0.1μF ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND close to the regulator to improve stability and reduce ripple.
Thermal Management:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating near the maximum output current, especially in high ambient temperatures.
- The thermal resistance (θ_JA) should be considered to prevent overheating.
Operating Environment:
- The device is designed to operate within the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
- Store the device in a temperature range of -65°C to 150°C.
Regulation and Performance:
- The line regulation and load regulation are very low, ensuring stable output under varying input conditions and load changes.
- The ripple rejection is high, providing a clean output voltage even with noisy input.
Handling:
- Handle the device with care to avoid damage from static electricity.
- Follow standard ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions during handling and assembly.
