Instructions for Use:

1. Input Voltage:

   • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (13.5V to 22.0V). Exceeding this range can damage the regulator.

2. Output Voltage:

   • The output voltage is fixed at 12V with a tolerance of ±5%.

3. Output Current:

   • The maximum output current is 100mA. Do not exceed this limit to avoid overheating and potential damage.

4. Thermal Considerations:

   • The device has thermal shutdown protection that activates at approximately 160°C. Ensure adequate heat dissipation, especially under high load conditions.
   • The operating junction temperature range is from -40°C to 125°C. Avoid operating the device outside this range to prevent reliability issues.

5. Capacitors:

   • It is recommended to use a 0.1μF ceramic capacitor at the input and a 1μF tantalum or electrolytic capacitor at the output for stability and transient response.

6. Mounting:

   • Mount the regulator on a PCB with good thermal conductivity to help dissipate heat. Use a heatsink if necessary, especially for continuous high-load applications.

7. Storage:

   • Store the device in a dry environment within the storage temperature range of -65°C to 150°C to maintain its performance and reliability.

8. Handling:

   • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress and static electricity, which can damage the internal components.

9. Testing:

   • Before finalizing the design, test the regulator under various operating conditions to ensure it meets the required specifications.

10. Compliance:

    • Ensure that the application complies with relevant safety and regulatory standards, especially for products intended for consumer use.
