Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect Vcc to a stable 5V supply.
    • Connect Vpp to 12.5V ± 0.5V during programming, and to Vcc or ground during normal operation.
  2. Addressing:

    • Apply the desired address to the A0-A18 pins to select the memory location.
  3. Data Input/Output:

    • For reading, apply the address and enable the chip by pulling /OE low. The data will appear on the D0-D7 pins.
    • For writing, apply the address and data to the D0-D7 pins, then enable the chip by pulling /WE low while Vpp is applied.
  4. Chip Enable (/CE):

    • Pull /CE low to enable the device. When high, the device is in standby mode.
  5. Output Enable (/OE):

    • Pull /OE low to enable data output. When high, the outputs are in high-impedance state.
  6. Write Enable (/WE):

    • Pull /WE low to initiate a write operation. This pin should be high during read operations.
  7. Erase Operation:

    • Expose the device to UV light (wavelength 253.7nm) for at least 1 second to erase the entire chip.
  8. Programming:

    • Apply the programming voltage (Vpp) to the appropriate pin.
    • Set the address and data lines.
    • Pull /WE low to start the programming cycle.
    • Wait for the specified programming time before accessing the programmed location.
  9. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Ensure proper alignment of the device in the socket to prevent damage to the pins.
    • Follow the recommended operating conditions to ensure reliable performance.
