Instructions for Use
Handling:
- Handle the resistor with care to avoid physical damage.
- Avoid touching the resistor body directly to prevent contamination.
Mounting:
- Ensure the PCB is clean and free from debris before mounting.
- Place the resistor on the PCB according to the design layout.
- Solder the leads to the PCB pads using a temperature-controlled soldering iron.
- Ensure the solder joints are smooth and free of cold solder joints or bridges.
Soldering:
- Use a soldering iron with a temperature setting between 300°C to 350°C.
- Apply a small amount of flux to the PCB pads if necessary.
- Solder each lead for no more than 3 seconds to avoid overheating the resistor.
- Allow the solder joints to cool naturally without disturbing them.
Inspection:
- Visually inspect the solder joints for proper wetting and absence of defects.
- Use a multimeter to verify the resistance value and ensure it falls within the specified tolerance.
Storage:
- Store the resistors in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep the resistors in their original packaging until ready for use to protect them from moisture and static.
Disposal:
- Dispose of any defective or unused resistors in accordance with local environmental regulations.
