Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure that the leads are bent carefully to avoid excessive stress on the diode.
    • Solder the leads quickly to prevent heat damage. Use a soldering iron with a temperature not exceeding 350°C and a soldering time of less than 10 seconds.
  2. Handling:

    • Handle the diode with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Use appropriate ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions to prevent damage from static electricity.
  3. Circuit Design:

    • Ensure that the operating current does not exceed the maximum operating current of 150mA.
    • The zener diode should be used in a circuit where the reverse voltage is clamped to the specified zener voltage.
    • Use a series resistor to limit the current through the diode to the desired level, typically around the test current of 5mA for stable operation.
  4. Environmental Considerations:

    • Store the diodes in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Avoid exposing the diodes to extreme temperatures outside the specified operating and storage ranges.
  5. Testing:

    • To test the diode, apply a reverse bias voltage slightly above the zener voltage and measure the reverse current. It should be within the specified limits.
    • Check the forward voltage by applying a forward bias current of 150mA and measuring the voltage drop across the diode.
  6. Disposal:

    • Dispose of the diode according to local regulations for electronic components.
