Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting and Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Ensure proper heat sinking to manage junction temperature, especially under high current conditions.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the anode and cathode terminals correctly to the circuit.
    • Apply the gate trigger voltage and current as specified to ensure reliable operation.
  3. Operating Conditions:

    • Do not exceed the rated voltage or current limits.
    • Ensure that the peak repetitive reverse voltage does not exceed 600V.
    • Keep the junction temperature within the specified range to prevent thermal damage.
  4. Surge Current Handling:

    • The device can handle non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 1200A for 8.3 ms (sine half wave). Ensure that these conditions are met to avoid failure.
  5. Holding Current:

    • The holding current must be maintained between 10mA and 30mA to keep the device in the on-state.
  6. Gate Triggering:
