Instructions for Use:
Mounting and Handling:
- Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical damage.
- Ensure proper heat sinking to manage junction temperature, especially under high current conditions.
Electrical Connections:
- Connect the anode and cathode terminals correctly to the circuit.
- Apply the gate trigger voltage and current as specified to ensure reliable operation.
Operating Conditions:
- Do not exceed the rated voltage or current limits.
- Ensure that the peak repetitive reverse voltage does not exceed 600V.
- Keep the junction temperature within the specified range to prevent thermal damage.
Surge Current Handling:
- The device can handle non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 1200A for 8.3 ms (sine half wave). Ensure that these conditions are met to avoid failure.
Holding Current:
- The holding current must be maintained between 10mA and 30mA to keep the device in the on-state.
Gate Triggering:
- Apply a gate trigger current of at least 5mA and a gate trigger voltage between 1.5V and 3.0V to turn on the device.
Storage:
- Store the device in a dry, cool place within the storage temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
Testing:
- Perform regular testing to ensure the device is functioning within its specified parameters.
Safety:
- Follow all safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment when handling high-voltage components.
