Instructions:

  1. Handling and Installation:

    • Handle the switch carefully to avoid damaging the actuator or terminals.
    • Ensure the switch is securely mounted to the PCB using the provided solder lugs.
    • Apply the recommended operating force (200 ± 50 gF) to actuate the switch.
  2. Soldering:

    • Preheat the PCB to reduce thermal shock.
    • Use a soldering iron with a temperature setting of 350°C (662°F) or less.
    • Solder the terminals quickly to avoid overheating the switch.
    • Allow the solder joints to cool naturally without moving the switch.
  3. Testing:

    • After installation, test the switch to ensure proper functionality.
    • Verify that the contact resistance is within the specified range (100 mΩ max).
    • Check the insulation resistance to ensure it meets the minimum requirement (100 MΩ min).
  4. Environmental Considerations:

    • Store the switch in a dry, temperature-controlled environment.
    • Avoid exposing the switch to extreme temperatures outside the specified ranges.
    • Protect the switch from moisture, dust, and other contaminants.
  5. Maintenance:

    • Regularly inspect the switch for signs of wear or damage.
    • Clean the switch using a soft, dry cloth if necessary.
    • Replace the switch if it shows any signs of malfunction or if it has reached its mechanical life limit (100,000 cycles).
