Instructions for Using the 74HC4051BQ:
Power Supply:
- Connect VCC to the positive supply voltage (2.0V to 6.0V).
- Connect GND to the ground.
Signal Inputs and Outputs:
- Connect the signal inputs (Y0 to Y7) to the channels you want to multiplex.
- Connect the common output (Z) to the point where you want to read the selected channel.
Control Signals:
- S0, S1, and S2 are the select lines that determine which channel is connected to the common output Z.
- INH is the inhibit input. When high, all channels are disconnected from the common output.
Channel Selection:
- Use the binary values on S0, S1, and S2 to select one of the eight channels (0 to 7).
- For example, to select channel 3, set S0 = 1, S1 = 1, and S2 = 0.
Inhibit Function:
- Set INH low to enable the multiplexer.
- Set INH high to disable the multiplexer and disconnect all channels from the common output.
Operating Temperature:
- The device is designed to operate over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
Handling Precautions:
- Ensure that the input voltages do not exceed the supply voltage plus 0.5V or go below -0.5V to avoid damaging the device.
