Instructions for Using the LM75ADP:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (Vcc) is within the range of 2.8V to 5.5V.
    • Connect Vcc to the positive power supply and GND to the ground.
  2. Temperature Measurement:

    • The LM75ADP continuously monitors the temperature and provides a digital output.
    • The temperature sensor range is from -55°C to 125°C with a typical accuracy of ±1°C at 25°C and ±2°C over the full range.
  3. Output Configuration:

    • The output is open-drain, requiring a pull-up resistor to Vcc.
    • The pull-up resistor value should be chosen based on the desired output current and bus capacitance.
  4. Overtemperature Shutdown:

    • The overtemperature shutdown threshold (TOS) and hysteresis (THYST) can be programmed via the SMBus/I2C interface.
    • Set the TOS and THYST values according to your application requirements.
  5. Communication:

    • Use the SMBus/I2C protocol to read temperature data and configure the device.
    • The default I2C address is 0x48, but it can be changed by connecting the A0, A1, and A2 pins to Vcc or GND.
  6. Conversion Time:

    • The conversion time is approximately 300 ms. Ensure that the system waits this duration before reading the temperature data.
  7. Storage and Operating Temperature:

    • Store the device between -65°C and 150°C.
    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
  8. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static discharge and physical damage.
    • Follow proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions when handling the device.

By following these instructions, you can effectively use the LM75ADP for temperature monitoring in your applications.
