Instructions for Use:
Input Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (V_IN) to the VIN pin.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
Output Connection:
- Connect the output voltage (V_OUT) to the VOUT pin.
- The ADP3181JRUZ-REEL provides a fixed output voltage of 1.8V.
Ground Connection:
- Connect the ground (GND) pin to the system ground.
Capacitor Requirements:
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor between the VIN and GND pins as close as possible to the device.
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor between the VOUT and GND pins as close as possible to the device.
Thermal Considerations:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation, especially when operating at high output currents.
- The device has a thermal shutdown feature to protect against overheating, but it is recommended to keep the junction temperature below 125°C.
PCB Layout:
- Follow good PCB layout practices to minimize noise and improve performance.
- Keep traces short and wide to reduce resistance and inductance.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
- Handle with care to avoid damage to the pins and package.
