Instructions for Use:

1. Mounting:

   • Ensure proper heat sinking if operating near maximum power dissipation.
   • Avoid mechanical stress on the leads, which can cause damage to the diode.

2. Soldering:

   • Use a soldering iron with a temperature not exceeding 350°C.
   • Soldering time should not exceed 10 seconds per connection.
   • Allow the diode to cool down before handling.

3. Electrical Connections:

   • Connect the cathode (shorter lead or marked side) to the positive voltage source.
   • Connect the anode (longer lead) to the circuit ground or negative voltage source.

4. Handling:

   • Handle the diode by the body, not the leads, to avoid damage.
   • Store in a dry, cool place to prevent corrosion.

5. Testing:

   • Use a multimeter to test the diode. In forward bias, it should show a low resistance, and in reverse bias, it should show high resistance.
   • For Zener testing, apply the specified reverse voltage and measure the current to ensure it falls within the specified range.

6. Safety:

   • Do not exceed the maximum ratings to prevent damage or failure.
   • Use appropriate protective equipment when handling and testing high-voltage circuits.
