Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect VCC to the power supply voltage within the range of 2.0V to 6.0V.
    • Connect GND to the ground.
  2. Data Input:

    • Connect the data input pin (DS) to the source of serial data.
    • Ensure that the input voltage levels (VIH and VIL) are within the specified range.
  3. Shift Register Clock:

    • Connect the shift register clock pin (SH_CP) to the clock signal source.
    • The rising edge of SH_CP shifts the data into the register.
  4. Storage Register Clock:

    • Connect the storage register clock pin (ST_CP) to the clock signal source.
    • The rising edge of ST_CP transfers the data from the shift register to the storage register.
  5. Output Enable:

    • Connect the output enable pin (OE) to control the output state.
    • Active low: When OE is low, the outputs are enabled.
    • High impedance: When OE is high, the outputs are in a high-impedance state.
  6. Master Reset:

    • Connect the master reset pin (MR) to control the reset function.
    • Active low: When MR is low, all registers are cleared and the outputs are set to high impedance.
  7. Output Pins:

    • Connect the output pins (Q0 to Q7) to the desired load.
    • Ensure that the current through each output does not exceed 35 mA and the total package current does not exceed 100 mA.
  8. Temperature Considerations:

    • Ensure that the operating temperature is within the range of -40°C to 85°C.
    • Store the device in an environment where the temperature does not exceed -65°C to 150°C.
  9. Handling Precautions:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Follow proper soldering techniques to ensure reliable connections.
  10. Testing and Verification:

    • Verify the functionality of the device by testing the input and output signals under typical operating conditions.
