Instructions

General Usage

  1. Power Supply: Ensure the power supply voltage is within the specified range (1.8 - 3.6V).
  2. Temperature Range: Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
  3. Interface Configuration: Configure the I2C/SPI and I2S interfaces according to your system requirements.
  4. Audio Configuration: Set up the audio channels, sampling rate, and other parameters using the DSP core or external control.

Initialization

  1. Reset: Apply a reset signal to the device to initialize it.
  2. Configuration: Use the I2C/SPI interface to configure the codec settings such as volume, EQ, and filter coefficients.
  3. Clock Setup: Configure the PLL and clock generation for the desired sampling rate.

Audio Path Setup

  1. Input Selection: Select the appropriate input source (analog microphone, digital microphone, line in).
  2. Output Selection: Choose the output path (headphone, line out).
  3. Volume Control: Adjust the volume levels for each channel using the DSP or I2C/SPI interface.

Power Management

  1. Low Power Mode: Enable low power mode to reduce power consumption when not in use.
  2. Standby Mode: Put the device into standby mode to minimize current draw.
  3. Shutdown Mode: Use the shutdown mode to completely turn off the device and reduce current to 0.1 μA.

Troubleshooting

  1. No Sound: Check the power supply, clock configuration, and input/output connections.
  2. Distortion: Verify that the input levels are within the acceptable range and adjust the gain settings.
  3. Communication Errors: Ensure the I2C/SPI lines are properly connected and configured.
