Instructions for Use:

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the "IN" pin.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (3.6V to 40V).
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Adjust the output voltage (VOUT) using the feedback resistor network connected to the "FB" pin.
    • The output voltage can be set from 1.23V to 38V.
  3. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the "OUT" pin.
    • Ensure the output current does not exceed 1.5A continuously.
  4. Feedback Resistor Calculation:

    • Use the formula ( V_ = 1.23 times left(1 + fracright) ) to calculate the values of R1 and R2.
    • R1 is the resistor connected between the "OUT" and "FB" pins.
    • R2 is the resistor connected between the "FB" pin and ground.
  5. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
    • The operating temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
  6. Capacitor Selection:

    • Use a ceramic capacitor (10μF to 100μF) on the input side to filter out noise.
    • Use a ceramic or tantalum capacitor (10μF to 100μF) on the output side to stabilize the output voltage.
  7. Layout Recommendations:

    • Keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC to minimize parasitic inductance.
    • Use wide traces for power connections to reduce resistance and heating.
  8. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place within the storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
  9. Handling:

    • Handle with care to avoid static discharge which can damage the IC.
    • Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions during assembly and testing.
