Instructions for Use:

  1. Voltage Ratings:

    • Ensure that the drain-source voltage (VDS) does not exceed 40V.
    • The gate-source voltage (VGS) should be within -10V to +10V.
  2. Current Handling:

    • The continuous drain current (ID) should not exceed 3.5A at a case temperature (TC) of 25°C.
    • For pulse applications, the peak drain current (ID(pulse)) can go up to 8.5A for a pulse duration of 100 μs.
  3. Power Dissipation:

    • The maximum power dissipation (PD) is 3.9W at an ambient temperature (TA) of 25°C. Ensure proper heat sinking if operating near this limit.
  4. Temperature Considerations:

    • The junction temperature (TJ) must not exceed 150°C.
    • The device can be stored between -55°C and 150°C.
  5. Capacitance and Gate Charge:

    • The input capacitance (Ciss) is approximately 200pF.
    • The output capacitance (Coss) is approximately 60pF.
    • The total gate charge (QG) is about 35nC.
  6. On-State Resistance:

    • The on-state resistance (RDS(on)) is 25mΩ when VGS is 10V and ID is 3.5A.
  7. Handling and Mounting:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage.
    • Ensure proper mounting to maintain thermal performance and reliability.
  8. Testing and Verification:

    • Verify all parameters during testing to ensure the device operates within specified limits.
    • Use appropriate test equipment and methods to measure and validate performance.

By following these guidelines, you can ensure optimal performance and longevity of the FDMS2572 device.
