Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input power supply to the VIN pin. Ensure the voltage is within the range of 2.9V to 5.5V.
    • Ground the GND pin.
  2. Output Configuration:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT pin. The output voltage can be set between 3.3V and 5.0V.
    • Ensure the output current does not exceed 1000mA.
  3. Battery Management:

    • Connect the battery to the VBAT pin. The battery voltage should be within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Set the battery charge current using the IBAT pin. The maximum charge current is 500mA.
  4. Shutdown Control:

    • Apply a voltage below 0.8V to the SHDN pin to put the device into shutdown mode.
    • Apply a voltage above 1.2V to the SHDN pin to enable normal operation.
  5. Thermal Management:

    • Monitor the temperature to ensure it stays within the operational range of -40°C to 125°C.
    • If the temperature exceeds 125°C, the device will automatically enter thermal shutdown to protect itself.
  6. Under-Voltage and Over-Voltage Protection:

    • The device will shut down if the input voltage drops below 2.9V (under-voltage lockout).
    • The device will also shut down if the input voltage rises above 5.6V (over-voltage lockout).
  7. Layout Considerations:

    • Use short, wide traces for power and ground connections to minimize inductance and resistance.
    • Place decoupling capacitors close to the power pins to reduce noise and improve stability.
  8. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • Handle with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage sensitive components.
