Instructions for Use
Power Supply:
- Connect VCC (1.2V) to the core power supply.
- Connect VIO (3.3V) to the I/O power supply.
Reset:
- Apply a reset signal to the RESET pin to initialize the device.
Configuration:
- Use the management interface (MDIO, SMBus, SPI, or I2C) to configure the switch settings, such as VLANs, QoS, and port settings.
Ethernet Connections:
- Connect the Ethernet ports to the desired devices or networks.
- Ensure that the auto-negotiation feature is enabled to automatically configure the link speed and duplex mode.
Firmware Update:
- If necessary, update the firmware using the provided tools and the management interface.
Monitoring:
- Monitor the status of the switch using the management interface to ensure proper operation and to diagnose any issues.
Power Over Ethernet (PoE):
- If PoE is supported and required, ensure that the power sourcing equipment (PSE) is correctly configured to provide power to the powered devices (PD).
Cable Diagnostics:
- Use the cable diagnostics feature to check the integrity of the Ethernet cables connected to the switch.
Wake-on-LAN (WoL):
- Configure the WoL settings to allow remote wake-up of connected devices.
Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE):
- Enable EEE to reduce power consumption during periods of low data activity.
Jumbo Frames:
- Configure the switch to support jumbo frames if required by your network environment.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a dry, static-free environment.
- Handle the device with care to avoid damage to the pins and package.
