Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the rectifier bridge is mounted on a heatsink if continuous operation at high currents is expected.
    • Use a thermal compound between the rectifier and the heatsink to improve heat dissipation.
  2. Soldering:

    • Preheat the PCB to reduce thermal shock.
    • Soldering temperature should not exceed 260°C.
    • Soldering time should be kept to a minimum, typically less than 10 seconds per connection.
  3. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the AC input to the two center terminals (pins 2 and 3).
    • Connect the positive DC output to the top terminal (pin 1).
    • Connect the negative DC output to the bottom terminal (pin 4).
  4. Overvoltage Protection:

    • Consider adding overvoltage protection components such as varistors or TVS diodes to protect against voltage spikes.
  5. Cooling:

    • For applications where the rectifier will operate near its maximum current rating, ensure adequate cooling to keep the junction temperature within the specified range.
  6. Storage:

    • Store the rectifier bridge in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture damage.
    • Avoid exposure to extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  7. Handling:

    • Handle with care to avoid mechanical damage.
    • Use anti-static precautions to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
