Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the supply voltage (VCC) to the positive power supply pin and ground (GND) to the negative power supply pin.
    • Ensure the supply voltage is within the specified range (4.5V to 5.5V).
  2. Gain Control:

    • Apply the gain control voltage (VGAIN) to the gain control pin.
    • The gain control voltage should be between 0V and 1.5V for the full gain range of 30 dB.
  3. Input Signal:

    • Connect the input signal to the RF input pin.
    • Ensure the input frequency is within the specified range (10 MHz to 600 MHz).
  4. Output Signal:

    • Connect a 50 Ω load to the RF output pin.
    • The output power can reach up to 27 dBm at 100 MHz with a 50 Ω load.
  5. Shutdown Mode:

    • To enter shutdown mode, apply a low logic level to the shutdown pin (SD).
    • In shutdown mode, the supply current drops to approximately 10 μA.
  6. Thermal Management:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high power levels or in high ambient temperatures.
    • The device is designed to operate within the industrial temperature range (-40°C to 85°C).
  7. Layout Considerations:

    • Use short, wide traces for RF signals to minimize losses and parasitic effects.
    • Place bypass capacitors close to the power supply pins to ensure stable operation.
  8. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage.
    • The storage temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
