Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (VDD) is within the range of 2.7V to 5.25V.
    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to the system ground.
  2. Input Configuration:

    • Connect the differential input signals to the IN+ and IN- pins.
    • Ensure the common mode input range is between 0V and VDD.
  3. Output Data Rate:

    • Set the desired output data rate using the configuration registers. The available rates range from 4.7 SPS to 1600 SPS.
  4. Power Management:

    • To reduce power consumption, use the power-down mode by setting the appropriate register bit. The supply current in this mode is approximately 1 μA.
  5. Communication:

    • Use the SPI interface to communicate with the AD7790. Refer to the datasheet for detailed SPI communication protocols.
  6. Calibration:

    • Perform initial calibration if required to ensure accurate measurements. Calibration can be done through the SPI interface.
  7. Temperature Considerations:

    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C to ensure reliable performance.
  8. Handling and Storage:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid damage to the pins and package.
    • Store the device in a dry, static-free environment.
