Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect Vcc to the positive supply voltage (2.7 V to 5.5 V).
    • Connect GND to the ground.
  2. Addressing:

    • The device has a 7-bit I2C address, which can be set by the A0, A1, and A2 pins. Refer to the datasheet for specific address configurations.
  3. Write Protect:

    • To enable write protection, connect the WP pin to Vcc. To disable write protection, connect the WP pin to GND.
  4. I2C Communication:

    • The SDA (Data) and SCL (Clock) lines must be connected to the I2C bus.
    • Ensure pull-up resistors are used on both SDA and SCL lines to Vcc.
  5. Read Operation:

    • Start with a START condition.
    • Send the 7-bit I2C address followed by a read bit (1).
    • The EEPROM will send the data byte.
    • Acknowledge or NACK the data byte as needed.
    • End with a STOP condition.
  6. Write Operation:

    • Start with a START condition.
    • Send the 7-bit I2C address followed by a write bit (0).
    • Send the memory address where data will be written.
    • Send the data byte(s) to be written.
    • End with a STOP condition.
  7. Data Retention:

    • Ensure the device is not exposed to excessive heat or radiation, which can affect data retention.
  8. Handling:

    • Handle the device with care to avoid static damage. Use ESD protection when handling.
  9. Storage:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture damage.

For detailed timing diagrams and more specific information, refer to the full datasheet provided by the manufacturer.
