Instructions for Use

1. Circuit Connection:

   • Input Pin (Pin 1): Connect to the unregulated input voltage.
   • Ground Pin (Pin 2): Connect to the common ground.
   • Output Pin (Pin 3): Connect to the load requiring a regulated 15V supply.

2. Capacitors:

   • Input Capacitor: Place a 0.33μF ceramic capacitor as close as possible to the input pin to filter out high-frequency noise.
   • Output Capacitor: Place a 0.1μF ceramic capacitor as close as possible to the output pin to stabilize the output voltage and reduce ripple.

3. Heat Dissipation:

   • The 78L15G-AB3-R has a relatively low power dissipation capability. Ensure that the input voltage is not excessively higher than the output voltage to avoid overheating. If necessary, use a heat sink to improve thermal performance.

4. Overvoltage Protection:

   • To protect the regulator from overvoltage conditions, consider using a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) diode across the input and ground.

5. Reverse Polarity Protection:

   • To prevent damage from reverse polarity, use a diode in series with the input. A Schottky diode is recommended due to its low forward voltage drop.

6. PCB Layout:

   • Keep the PCB traces short and wide to minimize resistance and inductance. Ensure proper grounding and decoupling to maintain stability.

7. Storage and Handling:

   • Store the device in a dry environment to prevent moisture damage. Handle with care to avoid mechanical stress on the leads and body.
