Instructions for Use:
Input Voltage (VIN):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 4.5V to 28V.
- Connect the input voltage to the VIN pin.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- Set the output voltage using the feedback resistor network. The output voltage can be adjusted between 0.6V and 5.5V.
- Connect the output voltage to the VOUT pin.
Continuous Output Current (IOUT):
- The device can provide a continuous output current of up to 30A, with a peak current of 40A.
- Ensure the load does not exceed these limits to avoid damage.
Switching Frequency (fSW):
- The switching frequency can be set between 300kHz and 2000kHz using an external resistor.
- Choose the appropriate frequency based on the application requirements.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is typically 1.5mA. This is the current consumed by the IC when it is active but not driving any load.
Shutdown Current (ISD):
- The shutdown current is typically 1.0μA. To put the IC into shutdown mode, pull the EN (Enable) pin low.
Efficiency (η):
- The typical efficiency is 95% at a conversion from 12V to 5V with a 10A load.
- Efficiency can vary depending on the specific operating conditions.
Operating Junction Temperature (TJ):
- The operating junction temperature range is from -40°C to 150°C.
- Ensure proper heat dissipation to keep the junction temperature within this range.
Storage Temperature (TSTG):
- The storage temperature range is from -65°C to 150°C.
- Store the device in a dry and cool environment to prevent damage.
Thermal Resistance (θJA):
- The thermal resistance from junction to ambient is typically 35°C/W.
- Use a heatsink or other cooling methods if necessary to manage heat dissipation.
Additional Notes:
- Always refer to the datasheet for detailed information and specific application notes.
- Ensure all connections are secure and free from shorts or open circuits.
- Use appropriate capacitors and inductors as specified in the design guidelines to ensure stable operation.
