Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply Connection:

    • Connect the input voltage (V_IN) to the input pin.
    • Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (2.7V to 5.5V).
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the output pin to the load or circuit requiring a stable 3.3V supply.
  3. Ground Connection:

    • Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of your system.
  4. Shutdown Function:

    • To enable the shutdown function, connect the SHDN pin to ground.
    • To disable the shutdown function and activate the regulator, leave the SHDN pin floating or connect it to V_IN.
  5. Capacitors:

    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the input pin (V_IN) and ground to filter input noise.
    • Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the output pin (V_OUT) and ground to stabilize the output.
  6. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
    • The device has thermal shutdown protection, but it should not be relied upon as a primary cooling method.
  7. PCB Layout:

    • Use a good PCB layout with wide traces for power and ground lines to minimize voltage drops and improve thermal performance.
    • Keep the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the respective pins to reduce parasitic inductance.
  8. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
    • Handle with care to avoid static damage; use ESD-safe practices.
