Instructions for Use
Power Supply Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (V_IN) to the input pin.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range (2.7V to 5.5V).
Output Connection:
- Connect the output pin to the load or circuit requiring a stable 3.3V supply.
Ground Connection:
- Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of your system.
Shutdown Function:
- To enable the shutdown function, connect the SHDN pin to ground.
- To disable the shutdown function and activate the regulator, leave the SHDN pin floating or connect it to V_IN.
Capacitors:
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the input pin (V_IN) and ground to filter input noise.
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the output pin (V_OUT) and ground to stabilize the output.
Thermal Considerations:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
- The device has thermal shutdown protection, but it should not be relied upon as a primary cooling method.
PCB Layout:
- Use a good PCB layout with wide traces for power and ground lines to minimize voltage drops and improve thermal performance.
- Keep the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the respective pins to reduce parasitic inductance.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range (-65°C to 150°C).
- Handle with care to avoid static damage; use ESD-safe practices.
