Instructions for FNA41560B5
Input Voltage (VIN):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
- Do not exceed the maximum input voltage to avoid damage to the device.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The output voltage is fixed at 3.3V. No external resistors are required for setting the output voltage.
Output Current (IOUT):
- The device can provide up to 3.0A of output current. Ensure that the load does not exceed this limit to prevent overheating or damage.
- For optimal performance, keep the output current below 1.5A when possible.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The quiescent current is typically 1.2μA and can increase to 3.0μA under certain conditions. This low quiescent current makes the device suitable for battery-powered applications.
Dropout Voltage (VDROPOUT):
- The dropout voltage is the difference between the input and output voltages at which the regulator can no longer maintain regulation. It is typically 0.3V and can reach up to 0.5V at full load.
Load Regulation:
- The load regulation is the change in output voltage due to changes in load current. It is typically 0.1% and can reach up to 0.3%.
Line Regulation:
- The line regulation is the change in output voltage due to changes in input voltage. It is typically 0.05% and can reach up to 0.1%.
PSRR (Power Supply Rejection Ratio):
- The PSRR indicates the ability of the regulator to reject ripple and noise from the input supply. It is typically 70dB and can reach up to 80dB at 1kHz.
Thermal Shutdown (TSD):
- The device has thermal protection that activates at approximately 160°C to prevent damage due to excessive temperature.
Operating Temperature Range (TOPR):
- The device is designed to operate within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Ensure that the ambient temperature does not exceed these limits.
Storage Temperature Range (TSTG):
- The device can be stored in temperatures ranging from -65°C to 150°C without damage.
Additional Notes:
- Use appropriate decoupling capacitors on both the input and output to ensure stability and reduce noise.
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if the device is operating near its maximum output current to prevent overheating.
- Refer to the datasheet for detailed information on PCB layout recommendations and other specific application notes.
