Instructions for Use:

1. Handling:

   • Use proper ESD protection to prevent damage from static electricity.

2. Mounting:

   • Ensure that the diode is mounted on a suitable PCB with appropriate soldering techniques.
   • Use a soldering iron with a temperature not exceeding 300°C and a soldering time not exceeding 10 seconds.

3. Electrical Connections:

   • Connect the cathode (shorter lead or marked side) to the positive voltage and the anode (longer lead or unmarked side) to the negative voltage.
   • Ensure that the maximum zener current (Izmax) is not exceeded to avoid overheating and potential damage.

4. Thermal Management:

   • If operating at high currents, ensure adequate heat dissipation to maintain the operating temperature within the specified range.
   • Consider using a heatsink if necessary.

5. Testing:

   • Test the diode using a multimeter set to the diode test mode to verify its functionality.
   • Measure the zener voltage under the nominal zener current (Izn) to ensure it falls within the specified tolerance.

6. Storage:

   • Store the diode in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and sources of heat.
   • Keep the diode in its original packaging until ready for use to protect against moisture and static discharge.
