Instructions for Use:

General Handling:

• Static Sensitivity: Both transistors are sensitive to static electricity. Handle them with care and use proper ESD protection.
• Mounting: Ensure that the mounting surface is clean and flat. Use a thermal compound to improve heat dissipation if necessary.
• Soldering: Solder the leads quickly to avoid overheating the junction. Use a temperature-controlled soldering iron and do not exceed 300°C for more than 3 seconds per connection.

Circuit Design:

• Biasing: Proper biasing is crucial for stable operation. Use appropriate resistors to set the base current and ensure the transistor operates within its safe operating area (SOA).
• Heat Sinking: For high-power applications, use a suitable heat sink to keep the junction temperature within the specified limits.
• Protection: Consider adding reverse-bias protection diodes and transient voltage suppressors to protect against voltage spikes and surges.

Storage:

• Temperature: Store the transistors in a dry, cool place within the specified storage temperature range.
• Packaging: Keep the transistors in their original packaging or in anti-static bags to prevent damage from static discharge.

Testing:

• Initial Testing: Before installing the transistors in a circuit, test them using a multimeter or a transistor tester to ensure they are functioning correctly.
• In-Circuit Testing: Once installed, monitor the temperature and performance of the transistors to ensure they are operating within their specifications.
