Instructions for Use:
Supply Voltage (Vcc):
- Ensure the supply voltage is within the range of 14V to 30V to avoid damage to the device.
Standby Current (Icc):
- The quiescent current in standby mode is typically 3.5mA, with a maximum of 5mA. This should be considered when designing the power supply.
Output Current Limit (Iout):
- The maximum output current is limited to 2A. Exceeding this limit can trigger overcurrent protection.
Frequency Range (fsw):
- The switching frequency can be set between 20kHz and 100kHz. Choose a frequency that balances efficiency and performance for your application.
Dead Time (tdead):
- The minimum dead time between high-side and low-side switches is 100ns to prevent shoot-through currents.
Overcurrent Protection (Iocp):
- The overcurrent protection threshold is set to 1.8A to 2.2A. If the output current exceeds this level, the device will shut down to protect itself.
Thermal Shutdown (Tsd):
- The device will initiate thermal shutdown at approximately 170°C to prevent damage from overheating.
Operating Temperature Range (Topr):
- The ambient operating temperature range is from -40°C to 150°C. Ensure the device operates within this range to maintain reliability.
Storage Temperature Range (Tstg):
- The device can be stored at temperatures ranging from -65°C to 150°C without damage.
Layout Considerations:
- Use short and wide traces for high-frequency signals and power paths to minimize inductance and parasitic effects.
- Place decoupling capacitors close to the power pins to ensure stable operation.
Heat Dissipation:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink or thermal pad if necessary, especially under high load conditions.
Protection Circuits:
- Implement additional protection circuits such as input filters and clamping diodes to protect against voltage spikes and transients.
