Instructions for Use

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the VDD pin to a stable power supply between 2.5V and 3.6V.
    • Ensure the power supply has sufficient decoupling capacitors (e.g., 10μF and 0.1μF) placed close to the VDD pin.
  2. Digital I/O:

    • Connect the VDDIO pin to the appropriate I/O voltage (1.62V to 3.6V).
    • Configure the digital audio interface (I2S, TDM, PCM, or PDM) according to your application requirements.
  3. Analog Inputs:

    • Connect differential line inputs to the INP1P, INP1N, INP2P, and INP2N pins.
    • Ensure input signals are within the specified sensitivity range (100mVrms).
  4. Analog Outputs:

    • Connect differential line outputs from the OUT1P, OUT1N, OUT2P, and OUT2N pins to your audio output stage.
    • Ensure the output level is set appropriately (1.5Vrms).
  5. Class D Amplifier:

    • Connect the speaker outputs (SPK1P, SPK1N, SPK2P, SPK2N) to the speakers.
    • Configure the amplifier settings (gain, volume, etc.) via the digital control interface.
  6. Software Configuration:

    • Use the I2C or SPI interface to configure the codec settings.
    • Refer to the datasheet for register maps and configuration details.
  7. Power Management:

    • Use the power-down mode to reduce power consumption when the device is not in use.
    • The standby current is approximately 1μA.
  8. Thermal Considerations:

    • Ensure adequate heat dissipation for the Class D amplifier, especially at high output powers.
    • Place the device on a PCB with good thermal conductivity and consider using a heatsink if necessary.
  9. Electromagnetic Interference (EMI):

    • Use proper PCB layout techniques to minimize EMI, such as short traces for high-frequency signals and ground planes.
  10. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry environment within the specified storage temperature range.
    • Handle with care to avoid damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
