Instructions for Use:
Mounting and Handling:
- Ensure the device is mounted on a heatsink to maintain junction temperature within the specified range.
- Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical damage.
Circuit Design:
- Ensure that the peak on-state current does not exceed 300A for more than 10ms to prevent thermal damage.
- Use a gate resistor to limit the gate current and protect the device from overvoltage spikes.
Thermal Management:
- The device should be thermally coupled to a heatsink to dissipate heat effectively.
- Monitor the junction temperature to ensure it remains below 125°C during operation.
Gate Triggering:
- Apply a gate trigger current of at least 50mA to ensure reliable turn-on.
- Ensure the holding current is maintained above 40mA to keep the device in the on-state.
Voltage Ratings:
- Do not exceed the maximum off-state voltage of 800V to avoid breakdown.
- Ensure the repetitive peak off-state voltage does not exceed 800V to prevent damage.
Storage:
- Store the device in a dry, cool place within the temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
Safety Precautions:
- Follow all safety guidelines and standards when handling and operating high-voltage components.
- Use appropriate protective equipment and follow proper grounding procedures.
