Instructions for Use:

  1. Handling and Storage:

    • Store in a dry, cool place to prevent moisture damage.
    • Handle with care to avoid mechanical stress on the leads and body.
  2. Mounting:

    • Ensure proper orientation during soldering. The cathode (shorter lead) should be connected to the positive side of the circuit.
    • Preheat the PCB to reduce thermal shock.
    • Soldering temperature should not exceed 260°C for more than 10 seconds.
    • Allow the diode to cool naturally after soldering.
  3. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the Zener diode in reverse bias across the load to regulate voltage.
    • Use a current-limiting resistor to protect the diode from exceeding its maximum Zener current (Izm).
  4. Testing:

    • Test the diode using a multimeter set to the diode test mode to ensure it is functioning correctly.
    • Measure the forward voltage drop (Vf) and reverse breakdown voltage (Vz) to verify specifications.
  5. Safety:

    • Do not exceed the maximum power dissipation (Pz) to avoid overheating and potential failure.
    • Ensure adequate heat sinking if operating at high currents or in high ambient temperatures.
  6. Disposal:
