Instructions for Use:
Voltage Handling:
- Ensure that the applied voltage does not exceed the rated blocking voltage (1200V) to prevent breakdown.
- The device can handle an RMS voltage of up to 849V.
Current Handling:
- The peak repetitive forward current should not exceed 50A for more than 1 second.
- The continuous forward current should be limited to 7A at a case temperature of 100°C.
Thermal Management:
- Maintain the junction temperature within the range of -40°C to 150°C.
- Use appropriate heatsinking to manage thermal resistance, aiming for a thermal resistance of 1.5°C/W from junction to case.
Reverse Recovery:
- Be aware of the reverse recovery time of 60ns, which can affect performance in high-frequency applications.
Storage:
- Store the device in a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C to ensure long-term reliability.
Forward Voltage:
- At the rated forward current of 7A and a junction temperature of 25°C, the forward voltage drop is typically 1.3V.
Mounting:
- Ensure proper mounting to avoid mechanical stress and ensure good thermal contact with the heatsink.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Protection:
- Handle the device with ESD precautions to prevent damage from static electricity.
Compliance:
- Verify that the device meets all relevant safety and compliance standards for your application.
