Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Connect the Vcc pin to a stable power supply within the range of 4.5 V to 5.5 V.
    • Ensure the ground (GND) pin is connected to the system ground.
  2. Output Connection:

    • The output pin (OUT) is an open collector, requiring an external pull-up resistor to a suitable voltage level (e.g., 5 V).
    • The typical value for the pull-up resistor is between 1 kΩ and 10 kΩ.
  3. Magnetic Field Application:

    • Position the sensor such that the magnetic field lines are perpendicular to the sensitive area of the sensor.
    • The sensor will switch its output state when the magnetic field strength exceeds the Bop (operate point) or falls below the Brp (release point).
  4. Mounting:

    • Ensure the sensor is mounted securely to avoid mechanical stress on the leads.
    • Avoid soldering temperatures above 260°C for more than 10 seconds to prevent damage.
  5. Environmental Considerations:

    • Operate the sensor within the specified temperature range to ensure reliable performance.
    • Store the sensor in a dry environment to prevent moisture-related issues.
  6. Handling:

    • Handle the sensor with care to avoid static discharge, which can damage the internal circuitry.
    • Use proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection measures during handling and installation.
  7. Testing:

    • Before final assembly, test the sensor using a known magnetic field source to verify its operation.
    • Check for correct output levels and response time to ensure the sensor is functioning as expected.
