Instructions for Use:
Handling Precautions:
- Handle the diodes with care to avoid mechanical damage.
- Avoid touching the leads or body of the diode directly to prevent static discharge.
Soldering:
- Preheat the PCB to 100°C to 150°C before soldering.
- Soldering temperature should not exceed 260°C.
- Soldering time should be kept within 10 seconds.
- Allow the diode to cool naturally after soldering.
Mounting:
- Ensure proper heat dissipation by using a heatsink if necessary.
- Tighten the mounting screws to the recommended torque to ensure good thermal contact.
Electrical Connections:
- Connect the cathode (marked with a band) to the positive side of the circuit.
- Connect the anode to the negative side of the circuit.
- Ensure that the maximum reverse voltage and forward current ratings are not exceeded.
Storage:
- Store in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Keep in original packaging until ready to use to protect from moisture and static.
Testing:
- Use a multimeter to test the diode for continuity and reverse bias.
- In forward bias, the diode should conduct with a voltage drop close to the specified Vf.
- In reverse bias, the diode should block current and show an open circuit.
