Instructions for Use:
Input Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the positive terminal of the power supply.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
Output Connection:
- Connect the output voltage (VOUT) to the load or circuit requiring a stable 3.3V supply.
- The maximum output current should not exceed 300mA.
Ground Connection:
- Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of the system.
Capacitors:
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND as close as possible to the regulator to ensure stability.
- Optionally, place a 1μF ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND for additional filtering.
Thermal Considerations:
- The device has thermal shutdown protection, but it is recommended to ensure adequate heat dissipation if operating at high currents or in high ambient temperatures.
Shutdown Mode:
- To enter shutdown mode, pull the SHDN pin low. The quiescent current will drop to approximately 1.5μA.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
- Handle with care to avoid static damage. Use proper ESD precautions.
PCB Layout:
- Ensure proper PCB layout to minimize noise and parasitic effects. Keep traces short and wide where possible.
Testing:
- Before finalizing the design, test the regulator under various conditions to ensure it meets the required performance specifications.
