Instructions for Use
Input Connection:
- Connect the positive terminal of the input voltage to the VIN pin.
- Connect the negative terminal of the input voltage to the GND pin.
Output Connection:
- Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
- Ensure the load is within the specified output current range (up to 1.5A).
Capacitors:
- Place a 10μF ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND as close to the IC as possible to filter input noise.
- Place a 10μF ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND to stabilize the output.
Heat Dissipation:
- If operating near the maximum output current, ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink or providing sufficient airflow.
PCB Layout:
- Keep the PCB traces short and wide to minimize resistance and inductance.
- Use ground planes to improve thermal performance and reduce noise.
Power-Up Sequence:
- Apply the input voltage slowly to avoid inrush currents.
- Monitor the output voltage to ensure it stabilizes at the expected value.
Storage and Handling:
- Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
- Handle with care to avoid static damage; use ESD protection when handling the device.
Troubleshooting:
- If the output voltage is not stable, check the input voltage, capacitors, and connections.
- If the device overheats, ensure proper heat dissipation and check the load current.
