Instructions for Use

  1. Input Connection:

    • Connect the positive terminal of the input voltage to the VIN pin.
    • Connect the negative terminal of the input voltage to the GND pin.
  2. Output Connection:

    • Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
    • Ensure the load is within the specified output current range (up to 1.5A).
  3. Capacitors:

    • Place a 10μF ceramic capacitor between VIN and GND as close to the IC as possible to filter input noise.
    • Place a 10μF ceramic capacitor between VOUT and GND to stabilize the output.
  4. Heat Dissipation:

    • If operating near the maximum output current, ensure adequate heat dissipation by using a heatsink or providing sufficient airflow.
  5. PCB Layout:

    • Keep the PCB traces short and wide to minimize resistance and inductance.
    • Use ground planes to improve thermal performance and reduce noise.
  6. Power-Up Sequence:

    • Apply the input voltage slowly to avoid inrush currents.
    • Monitor the output voltage to ensure it stabilizes at the expected value.
  7. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the device in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight.
    • Handle with care to avoid static damage; use ESD protection when handling the device.
  8. Troubleshooting:

    • If the output voltage is not stable, check the input voltage, capacitors, and connections.
    • If the device overheats, ensure proper heat dissipation and check the load current.
