Instructions for Using CM6807G
Supply Voltage (VDD):
- Ensure the input voltage is within the range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
- Connect the input voltage to the VDD pin.
Output Voltage (VOUT):
- The regulated output voltage is fixed at 3.3V.
- Connect the load to the VOUT pin.
Quiescent Current (IQ):
- The device consumes approximately 150 μA in active mode.
- Ensure the power supply can handle this current.
Shutdown Current (ISD):
- When the shutdown pin is pulled low, the device enters a low-power mode consuming about 0.1 μA.
- Use the shutdown pin to control power consumption.
Dropout Voltage (VDO):
- The device maintains regulation with a dropout voltage of approximately 200 mV.
- Ensure the input voltage is at least 200 mV higher than the output voltage.
Load Regulation:
- The output voltage may vary by up to 2% with changes in load current.
- Design the circuit to accommodate this variation if necessary.
Line Regulation:
- The output voltage may vary by up to 0.5% with changes in input voltage.
- Consider this when selecting the input voltage range.
PSRR (Power Supply Rejection Ratio):
- The device has a PSRR of 70 dB, effectively reducing input ripple.
- Use appropriate filtering capacitors on the input and output to further reduce noise.
Operating Temperature (TJ):
- The device operates within a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
- Ensure proper heat dissipation if operating near the upper limit.
Storage Temperature (TS):
- Store the device in an environment with temperatures ranging from -65°C to 150°C.
- Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures for extended periods.
Capacitor Selection:
- Use a 1 μF ceramic capacitor on the input (VDD) and output (VOUT) pins for stability.
- Place these capacitors as close as possible to the respective pins to minimize parasitic inductance.
PCB Layout:
- Follow good PCB layout practices to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep traces short and wide, especially for power and ground connections.
