Instructions:

1. Installation:

   • Ensure the varistor is installed in a location where it will not be subjected to mechanical stress or vibration.
   • Use appropriate wire gauges to connect the varistor to the circuit.

2. Handling:

   • Handle the varistor with care to avoid damage to the leads or body.
   • Do not solder the varistor at temperatures exceeding 260°C for more than 10 seconds.

3. Mounting:

   • Mount the varistor in a vertical position to ensure proper heat dissipation.
   • Ensure there is adequate clearance around the varistor to prevent short circuits.

4. Surge Protection:

   • The varistor is designed to protect against transient voltage surges up to 1000A (8/20μs).
   • Ensure the surge current does not exceed the rated maximum to avoid damage.

5. Operating Environment:

   • The varistor is rated for operation between -40°C and 85°C.
   • Avoid exposing the varistor to environments with high humidity or corrosive gases.

6. Testing:

   • Regularly test the varistor using a multimeter to ensure it is functioning correctly.
   • If the varistor shows signs of degradation, replace it immediately.

7. Storage:

   • Store the varistor in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
   • Keep the varistor in its original packaging until ready for use.
