Instructions for Use:

  1. Mounting:

    • Ensure the BTA25-600B is mounted on a heatsink to maintain the junction temperature within the specified range.
    • Use thermal paste between the component and the heatsink for better heat dissipation.
  2. Electrical Connections:

    • Connect the Anode (A) and Cathode (K) terminals to the load circuit.
    • Apply the gate trigger current (IG) to the Gate (G) terminal to turn the triac on.
    • Ensure the gate trigger current is within the specified limits to avoid damage.
  3. Operating Conditions:

    • Do not exceed the maximum RMS on-state current (IT(RMS)) or peak on-state current (I(TSM)).
    • Ensure the off-state voltage (VDRM/VRRM) does not exceed 600V.
    • Keep the junction temperature (TJ) below 125°C to prevent thermal runaway.
  4. Storage and Handling:

    • Store the BTA25-600B in a dry environment within the storage temperature range (-40 to 125°C).
    • Handle with care to avoid mechanical stress or damage to the leads.
  5. Testing:

    • Before installing the BTA25-600B in a circuit, test its parameters using a suitable tester to ensure it meets the specifications.
    • Perform functional tests under controlled conditions to verify proper operation.
  6. Safety Precautions:

    • Always use appropriate safety measures when handling high-voltage circuits.
    • Ensure the circuit is de-energized and discharged before making any connections or modifications.
