Instructions for Use:

  1. Power Supply:

    • Ensure the supply voltage (Vcc) is within the specified range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
    • Use a stable power source to avoid fluctuations that can affect performance.
  2. Standby Mode:

    • To enter standby mode, set the STB pin to high. The device will consume approximately 1.5 μA in this mode.
    • To resume operation, set the STB pin to low.
  3. Operating Mode:

    • In active mode, the device consumes approximately 30 mA. Ensure the power supply can handle this current.
    • For optimal performance, use a 50 Ω load for both input and output impedances.
  4. Frequency Configuration:

    • Set the operating frequency within the 433 MHz to 435 MHz range. This can typically be done through external components or internal settings depending on the module design.
  5. Modulation:

    • The CXD90038ER supports ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) and OOK (On-Off Keying) modulation types. Choose the appropriate modulation based on your application requirements.
  6. Data Rate:

    • The data rate can be set between 0.1 kbps and 100 kbps. Higher data rates may require more precise tuning and stable conditions.
  7. Receiver Sensitivity:

    • The receiver sensitivity is -90 dBm, which allows for reliable communication over moderate distances under ideal conditions.
  8. Temperature Considerations:

    • Operate the device within the temperature range of -40°C to 85°C to ensure reliable performance.
    • Store the device within the storage temperature range of -40°C to 125°C to prevent damage.
  9. PCB Layout:

    • Follow recommended PCB layout guidelines to minimize interference and ensure optimal signal integrity.
    • Use ground planes and proper decoupling capacitors to stabilize the power supply and reduce noise.
  10. Testing and Troubleshooting:

    • Before deploying the device, conduct thorough testing under various conditions to ensure it meets performance specifications.
    • Use a spectrum analyzer to verify the transmitted signal and a signal generator to test the receiver sensitivity.
