1. Mounting and Handling:

   • Handle the device with care to avoid mechanical stress.
   • Ensure proper heat sinking to maintain the junction temperature within the specified limits.

2. Electrical Connections:

   • Connect the device according to the circuit diagram provided.
   • Use appropriate wire gauges to handle the rated current without excessive resistance.

3. Thermal Management:

   • Ensure adequate cooling to keep the junction temperature below 175°C.
   • Consider forced air cooling or heat sinks for high-power applications.

4. Surge Current:

   • The device can handle non-repetitive peak surge currents up to 300A for 8.3/400μs pulses.
   • Ensure that the surge current does not exceed this limit to prevent damage.

5. Storage and Operating Temperature:

   • Store the device in a dry environment between -55°C and 150°C.
   • Operate the device within the same temperature range to ensure reliable performance.

6. Reverse Recovery:

   • Be aware of the reverse recovery time (35ns) and charge (120nC) when designing the circuit to avoid excessive voltage spikes during switching.

7. Forward Voltage:

   • The forward voltage drop is typically 1.1V at the rated current. Design the power supply and circuit to accommodate this voltage drop.

8. Safety Precautions:

   • Always follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment when handling high-voltage components.
   • Ensure proper insulation and grounding to prevent electrical hazards.
