Instructions for Using NDH2412SC:
Input Connection:
- Connect the input voltage (VIN) to the input pin of the NDH2412SC.
- Ensure the input voltage is within the specified range of 2.7V to 5.5V.
Output Connection:
- Connect the output pin to the load or circuit that requires a regulated 3.3V supply.
- The maximum continuous output current is 1.2A, with a peak of 1.5A.
Ground Connection:
- Connect the ground (GND) pin to the common ground of the system.
Capacitors:
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the input pin to filter out high-frequency noise.
- Place a 1μF ceramic capacitor close to the output pin to stabilize the output voltage.
Shutdown Function:
- To enable the shutdown function, connect the shutdown (SHDN) pin to GND. This will reduce the supply current to approximately 1-5μA.
- To activate the regulator, connect the SHDN pin to VIN or leave it floating.
Thermal Considerations:
- Ensure adequate heat dissipation if the regulator is operating at high output currents or in high ambient temperatures.
- The thermal shutdown temperature is typically 160°C to 180°C to protect the device from overheating.
Operating Environment:
- The operating junction temperature range is -40°C to 125°C.
- The storage temperature range is -65°C to 150°C.
PCB Layout:
- Use a good PCB layout to minimize parasitic inductance and resistance.
- Keep the input and output capacitors as close as possible to the regulator pins.
Testing:
- Before finalizing the design, test the regulator under various load conditions to ensure stable operation and proper regulation.
Compliance:
- Ensure that the design complies with all relevant safety and regulatory standards for the application.
